The stupid diary of a geek biologist

What is this blog?

This blog is an open diary written by a biologist at the beginning of his adventure in science. In these pages I will try to share some ideas and my personal experience, with the hope to confront with the readers and learn something from them. I will mostly write about bioinformatics, systems biology, geeky things and a bit of politics.

Who is writing?

My name is Fabio Barteri and I was born in Rome in the early summer of 1985. After having graduated in Cell Biology and Bioinformatics at the University of Rome (Sapienza Università di Roma), in January 2015 I moved to Barcelona to pursue my PhD at the Centre for Research in Agricultural Genomics. My interests are Biology, Plant Science, Genomics, Bioinformatics, Evolution, programming, relational databases, football and politics.

  1. Just found your site, and already enjoying a lot of your posts. The “Boobs For Science” thing is quite funny, but some of your other posts are very informative. For a non native English speaker you write very well. Keep it up, we look forward to reading more of your ATC geekness.

    All the best,

    1. Thank you Mike, I have just given a look to your site and I will bookmark right away, great job.
